Years Played: 1925, 1926, 1927
George Sibilsky played high school hockey for Calumet High School before attending Michigan. He played left wing from 1924-1927 under Coach Joseph Barss. Called Nick by his teammates, his most important goal was a winning goal against Minnesota in overtime. Since most games ended with very low scores, the 1924-1925 team scored twelve goals and only allowed six goals.
Wearing the maize and blue uniform was very inspiring for him and in his sophomore season (1924-1925), Michigan won its first Big Ten Hockey Championship. George Sibilsky graduated from the School of Dentistry in 1928 and coached many amateur teams in the Detroit area.
