Randy Trudeau, from Chatham, Ontario, played in the Chatham Minor Hockey Association and for the Chatham Junior Maroons for three years before coming to Michigan in the fall of 1971.  Playing defense for four years for Coaches Al Renfrew and Dan Farrell, he was elected captain in his junior and senior years, 1973-1974 and 1974-1975.  He was only the fourth captain in Michigan hockey history to serve more than one year.  In his junior and senior years, he led Michigan to 18-17-1 and 22-17-1 records, Michigan’s first winning seasons since the 1968-1969 season.  Randy Trudeau graduated from the College of Literature, Science and the Arts in 1975.
